Fascinating post Alan, I didn't know you could literally "buy" traffic. I'd take it a step further and say even genuine visits and page views are a poor indicator of likely success. Over the years I've bought ads with (genuinely) high traffic sites and got nothing from it, and conversely I've bought ads with small, low traffic sites and have done very well in terms of both sales and conversions. As a client all I want are clicks through to my site, and experience tells me that size is no indicator of success.

I did like your Twitter rant - reminded me of the agnostic: "I don't believe in God, but just in case I do say a little prayer every night." :)

1. Not promoting, or advertising - exposing people who cheat. The website is there to substantiate what has been said within the article.

2. We do hate Twitter - like this chart, the presence on there is to prove a point in a forthcoming post. I stand by my hatred of Twitter... :)

Why do people not their own names?

If you are not promoting this kind of activity....then why go to such extent as to give the website details?

Seems kind of like telling your kids "whatever you do......don't look in that box"

lol........... the second post from the same people that slate Twitter yet go and work on there to promote their websites?

Nicely worded post with all the cloaking of "we dont mean to advertise this crap".................. lol
